July was the hottest month, breaking hundreds of years of temperature records

Earth's average temperature remained at 16.95 degrees Celsius: WMO

The era of global warming is over, the era of 'global boiling' has begun: the United Nations has given a new name after being hot for two months.

New York: The United Nations Meteorological Agency World Meteorological Organization (WMO) reported that the month of July has become the hottest month in human history. The last three weeks had been the hottest in a row and there had been unbearable fire rains. Just last month, June was declared the hottest month in the world so far. The United Nations has expressed concern over a new heat record being set in a single month.

United Nations chief Antonio Guterres expressed concern and gave a new name to this period. He said: Global warming is now a thing of the past. A new era of global boiling has started in the world. This is just the beginning of the heat. Year by year the situation will become more and more dangerous.

The temperature is going much higher than the average in America, Europe and many countries of the world including India. Death rate has increased due to severe heat in many countries of the world. Many have fallen ill and reached the hospital. It rains in Europe, North America and China. This has been stated in a joint statement by the World-Meteorological Organization and the Climate Change Service of the European Union. In the first 23 days of July, the average temperature of the earth was 16.95 degrees Celsius. The old record of 16-63 degrees was broken. Before this, July 2019 was the hottest July on record. An area in North-West China recorded a temperature of 52.2 degrees Celsius. Which has broken all previous records.

By collecting data from different sources like tree bark, mountains and the 'continental shelf' on ocean shores, scientists have come to the conclusion that the average global temperature this July increased by at least 0.2 degrees Celsius compared to July, 2019. United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres said in New York that July 2023 has broken all previous records. The mortality rate is also likely to increase due to this reason. Due to the extreme heat, forest fires are spreading in many areas of the Mediterranean Sea.

As the global temperature increases, the temperature of the sea water also increases. Scientists say that the 'El-Nino' current has also been fueled by this warming. The temperatures of the Pacific, Atlantic and Indian oceans have increased, but so have the temperatures of the Arctic and Antarctic oceans. Both polar ice caps are melting. On the other hand, the temperature of sea water has increased relatively much in the stretch starting from Florida to Western Australia. It is estimated that the heat record of 1,20,000 years has been broken in the month of July 2023.
