Ice storm' hits America, 2000 flights cancelled, more than 2400 delayed, public life disrupted


US Winter Storm | A snow storm has taken care of America. Several flights in the Midwest and South had to be canceled while several were delayed. Due to which thousands of passengers were stranded at the airport itself. According to the information, flight tracking website FlightAware.com has reported that more than 2400 flights have been delayed so far while more than 2000 flights have been canceled due to the storm.

40 percent of flights cancelled

About 40 percent of the 36 percent of scheduled flights at Chicago's O'Hare International Airport were canceled, and about 60 percent of the scheduled flights at Chicago Midway International Airport were canceled. Meanwhile, other affected airports include Denver International and Milwaukee's Mitchell International Airport.

Efforts begin to resume operations of flights

More than 200 United and Alaska Airlines flights were canceled each day this week due to Federal Aviation Authority-mandated groundings. The FAA and Boeing are still trying to agree on an inspection protocol that would allow those flights to resume flying.
