Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz Party Chairman and current Prime Minister of Pakistan Shahbaz Sharif has given an important statement amid the upcoming elections in Pakistan.
He has indicated that if our party wins the election, 73-year-old Nawaz Sharif will become the Prime Minister. The notice to dissolve the National Assembly shall be sent to the President before the completion of the term of the lower house of the Parliament. The National Assembly is scheduled to end its tenure on August 12 at midnight.
Sharif said that the supreme leader of the party, Nawaz Sharif, our allied parties and the leader of the opposition in the National Assembly, Raja Riaz, will try to reach an agreement to make an interim arrangement before the elections.
Currently there are also speculations that the current Finance Minister Ishaq Dar may be appointed as the Prime Minister of the interim government before the elections. So that policies can be implemented to overcome the economic crisis in the country.
However, Shahbaz Sharif said that a neutral person should be appointed as the Prime Minister of the interim government. So that no one can question the result of the election. Our leader Nawaz Sharif will return to Pakistan and face the law.
It is worth mentioning that Nawaz Sharif was disqualified by the Supreme Court of Pakistan in 2017 after his name appeared in the Panama Papers. Nawaz Sharif currently resides in London.
