Bomb blast at Jamiat meeting in Pakistan, death toll exceeds 50, more than 200 injured

A massive bomb blast has occurred at a meeting of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazal (JUI-F) in Bajaur area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. Due to which chaos spread in the area. According to the information, 50 people have died and more than 200 people have been injured. The blast was carried out targeting the JUI-F workers convention.
Regarding this bomb blast, JUI-F President Maulana Fazlur Rehman has demanded Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and State Chief Minister Azam Khan to investigate the incident. He has also urged the party workers to donate blood at the hospital. Fazal said, JUI workers should remain peaceful and regional governments should provide high-quality treatment to the injured.
Importantly, a team of police and rescue workers reached the spot and arranged for the injured to be taken to the hospital. Also, the police have started collecting evidence. Then Chief Minister Khan condemned the blast and sought a report from the district administration. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Hazi Ghulam Ali, also a central member of JUIF, confirmed the death toll.
Suspected suicide bomb blast
The police said that the injured have been admitted to a nearby hospital, out of which the condition of most of them is said to be critical. The nature of the explosion is being investigated. However, preliminary reports suggest that it was a suicide blast. Several pictures show that several ambulances have rushed to the scene and the entire area has been cordoned off.
