Lord Sri Rama is a source of inspiration for millions of Indians and his life story is also a link between India and Sri Lanka.

Lord Sri Rama's wife was abducted by Lankapati Ravana and the Lord invaded Lanka and killed Ravana.

Sri Lankan Minister Jeevan Thondaman has given an interesting talk about what is believed about Ramayana in Sri Lanka. An exhibition on the Ramayana has been organized for two months at the National Gallery of Modern Art in Delhi.

During its inauguration, Sri Lanka's Water Supply Minister Jeevan Thondaman said in his address that the relationship between the people of Sri Lanka and India strengthens our shared culture. As much respect as there is in the hearts of the people of India for the Ramayana, it is also in the hearts of the people of Sri Lanka. Ramayana is the shared cultural heritage of both countries.

At the same time, he said that by looking at the display of pictures on Ramayana, one can understand that Ramayana is a book that awakens cultural consciousness for Sri Lanka and India. At the same time, he said in a light tone that the image of Ravana in India is different from that in Sri Lanka. The people of Sri Lanka consider Ravana to be a skilled administrator and to the extent that Saint Valmik's Ramayana mentions that Lord Rama sat by Ravana on the battlefield when he was near death and learned from Ravana how to lead and rule.
