Bharatanatyam dancer Amarnath Ghosh shot dead in America


New York: Attacks on citizens of Indian origin are increasing gradually in America. In another attack, a 34-year-old Indian classical dancer was shot dead in St. Louis, Missouri.

According to a report, Kuchipudi and Bharatanatyam dancer Amarnath Ghosh moved to America last year to pursue a PhD in dance. He was shot and killed near the border of St. Louis Academy and the Central West End neighborhood. The deceased's friend and TV actress Devolina Bhattacharjee tweeted about this.

He was shot at at Delmar Boulevard and Clarendon Avenue, according to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department. Amarnath was doing Masters in Performing Arts Department of Washington University. In America, the death of five Indian students has come to light in the last few years.
