BAPS Hindu Mandir: The BAPS Hindu Mandir, a religious place built in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, has been opened for public from Sunday. According to the known statistics, the number of devotees who reached the temple on the first day has crossed 60 thousand. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated this temple in February itself.

According to media reports, more than 40 thousand devotees reached the temple in the morning by bus and car. In the evening, more than 25 thousand people reached the temple. But the important thing is that despite such a huge crowd, batches of 2000-2000 devotees were prepared, in which they were waiting in line for darshan without any kind of jostling.

UAE's first Hindu temple
During Prime Minister Modi's visit in 2015, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Ahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, donated 13.5 acres of land for the construction of the temple. After which, in 2019, the UAE government gave another 13.5 acres of land for the temple, taking the total land available for the temple to 27 acres. In the year 2017, PM Modi laid the foundation stone of the temple.
