China built 200 houses in disputed area, now will build bridge
According to the report, China has built more than 200 houses in the disputed area of Bhutan. Now China is going to start construction of two bridges there in a short time. For this he has also started giving huge funding. China has disputes not only with India and Bhutan but with many border countries. However, China's entry into disputed land along the Bhutan border is also a threat to India.
Tibetans were shifted to Chinese-made Tamalung village
According to the report, three villages have been built in the hilly area separating the two countries. The shape of these villages has also been increasing for some time. A village called Tamalung has been built in the disputed area recently. The first batch of 38 people from Shigatse, Tibet city was shifted to this village on 28-Dec-2023. After that, the process of settling people in this village continues.
China started rapid development operations in Tamalung village
According to the report, the Chinese government has resettled 18 people in Tamalung Village. Where these people came to live in the village, they had a picture of Chinese President Xi Jinping in their hands. The village is one of three villages built by China within the disputed territory. In the second half of the year 2023, China has undertaken rapid development of these villages. In December itself, American satellite imagery company Maxar reported through satellite images that 147 new houses had been built in the area.
3.6 million dollars in funding to develop the village
According to a local media report, the area has been designed in such a way that 235 families can live in the village. Earlier, by 2022, 70 houses were built there, housing 200 people. According to the 2023 funding report, 3.6 million dollars was allocated to develop the village of Tamalung, with the money spent on development of new houses, construction of two bridges, paved roads and other works.
China's plans to strengthen national security in the name of poverty alleviation
The South China Morning Post, citing officials, wrote that the village was built as part of the Xi Jinping government's poverty alleviation plan. However, it is also being said that China is making this move to strengthen its national security. China is rapidly developing infrastructure near the northern areas of Bhutan. China says this is part of its Tibet region and has no relation with Bhutan. No reaction has been given from the Government of Bhutan in this regard.
