Preparing for war? Pakistan built airfields near Indian border, deployed Chinese artillery

New Delhi, 27th November-2023, Wednesday

Pakistan has built a new airfield about 20 kilometers from the Indian border, where Chinese H-15SP howitzer guns have also been deployed. This airfield is built near Lahore. Whether Pakistan will use the airfield for flights or for the military, there is no information yet. Pakistani officials and army personnel have also not given any official statement in this matter. Some people say that this airfield is meant for training school and will be used by Pakistani army. It is also believed that this airfield will be used for helicopters, drones and other aircraft. However, the biggest concern is that the airfield will be used for drones imported from China and Turkey. Also, this airfield is 20 kilometers away from the Indian border, so it will be easy to launch UAVs from there.

Cannons ordered from China were deployed on the border

The Pakistani Army has equipped its 28th and 32nd Artillery Regiments with Chinese cannons. Pakistan bought SH-15 Self-Propelled (SP) from China, which it bought from China at a cheap price. Both these regiments are part of Pakistan's 2nd Artillery Division and are active along the Indian border with Punjab and Rajasthan. The Chinese-made SH-15SP is a state-of-the-art howitzer cannon. Pakistan had demanded 236 such guns from China in 2019. Currently, Pakistan has received 45 cannons. Pakistan Army is updating three artillery regiments, which will include 18 guns in all three.

It incorporates semi-automatic vertical web type breech block technology. This cannon can fire the projectile at an angle of 20 to 70 degrees. Besides, it has the ability to throw the ball by rotating up to 360 degrees. It can fire 4 to 6 rounds in 1 minute, with a range of 20 km. If a rocket assisted projectile is used, it can be fired up to a distance of 53 km.
