Due to the cyber attack on the country of Albania in the North East of Europe, the work of the Parliament of the country has stopped.

According to the government, hackers tried to infiltrate the Parliament's data system and due to this the services of the Parliament have been temporarily stopped. In Monday's attack, however, the hackers were unable to access the data. Cyber security experts are investigating the matter and after that all services of the system will be restarted.

According to local media, along with Parliament, a cellphone provider and a flight were also targeted for cyber attack on Monday. It is being claimed that the cyber attack has been carried out by an Iran-backed group. However, this has not been officially confirmed yet.

Before this too, there was a cyber attack on Albania in 2022 and at that time the government held Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs responsible for it. It is believed that since about 2500 members of Iran's opposition group Mujahideen have been sheltered in Albania, Iran is now upset with this country and is carrying out a cyber attack to take revenge.

After the 2022 attack, relations between Iran and Albania were also strained.

According to Albania, Mujahideen members living here have been banned from engaging in any kind of political activity and have been strictly instructed to abide by the country's laws.

On the other hand, Iran says that the members of Mujahideen living in Albania are carrying out the cyber attack.
