A unique ice festival warming the atmosphere for 70 days in the city of Harbin, China

Tourists are delighted to see the snow-covered environment, but it will be surprising to know that Harbin city of Heilongjiang province of China has been holding an ice festival for the last 25 years. This unique ice festival lasts for 70 days, not one or two days. Currently, the ice festival has started from the 20th of December and will continue till 1st March 2024.
It is considered to be the world's largest ice festival which includes sculpture art expo, ice lantern, art fair, ice and snow carnival, ice bar and restaurant, winter skimming skills, dog sledding. The city is also called Oriental Moscow due to its Russian-style buildings and historical ties to Harbin. Arctic animals including the Siberian tiger can also be seen at the ice festival. Hundreds of tourists from home and abroad choose to visit the city of Harbin during the period of Ice and Snow World.
A variety of theme parks made of snow form the center of attraction. The temperature in Harbin city reaches minus, which makes it suitable for organizing a snow fest. This year, a snow fest is being organized in an area of 81,000 square meters. It includes more than 2000 designs made from ice. 25,000 cubic meters of snow have been used to prepare the works of the Snow Festival.
Snow created naturally by the freezing of the nearby Sungari River is used to create the snow sculptures. Remember that Harbin, China is to host the Asian Winter Games in 2025, so this year's snow sculptures have a glimpse of winter sports. The 120 meter high chagdol attracts the most attention. One can see the view of the entire festival by climbing on this chagdol. People enjoy sliding on ice the most. The swings and sliding strip that glide over the ice also attract attention. The longest sliding strip is 521 meters long.
