Will coastal cities sink? The world's largest iceberg moved, scientists were also shaken

World's largest iceberg is moving: In the name of development, humans have been damaging nature for centuries. Due to which now humans are suffering from polluted air, polluted water, climate change etc. At present, due to climate change, people are facing problems such as changing monsoons, heavy rains, extreme heat, and rising sea levels. Because after 37 years something is happening in Antarctica that has never been seen before. So let's know about the movement of the world's largest iceberg in detail.

What happened in Antarctica?

It started in 1986 when an iceberg broke off from Antarctica, known as Iceberg A23a. This iceberg was three times bigger than Delhi, the capital of the country. However, after breaking off, this iceberg was frozen in place. But now after 37 years there is a movement in it. That is, it is moving towards the sea by slipping from its place. Scientists had never seen anything like this happen to an iceberg this big. Scientists are worried about its movement, as it will not only affect animals but also humans.

Iceberg movement could put the island at risk

According to the report, Georgia will suffer the most from this iceberg. Scientists predict that the melting speed of this iceberg may increase in the coming time, in which case it could lead to the destruction of the entire island if it directly hits the island of Georgia without breaking up. However, the greater possibility is that these icebergs will break in half and melt into the sea. But due to this the sea level will surely rise. Scientists have already said that the existence of coastal cities is in danger in the coming years.
