US visa to go Paperless Soon A big step will be taken by America soon. Now the US visa will become paperless. According to the information, no stamp or seal will have to be applied on the American passport from next year. This will completely end the traditional practice of affixing stamps.

Pilot project completed

Recently, the Biden administration announced the conclusion of a successful pilot project for paperless visas at the US diplomatic mission in Dublin and plans to gradually implement this digital visa system. It will mark a significant change in the visa process.

How long can this feature be implemented?

"We have completed our first small-scope pilot for paperless visas," said Julie Stough, deputy assistant secretary of state for visa services. Which means the visa process is the same but there is no physical visa in one's passport. Right now we have only undertaken a pilot project so this is not something that will happen until next year. It may take 18 months or more for this service to be implemented.
