Palestinian citizens are also being victimized in the actions taken by Israel after the attack by Hamas, which has now been criticized by India on the world stage. A clear message was given in the United Nations that action should be taken against terrorists but innocent people should not be punished.
India's Permanent Representative to the UN, Ruchira Kamboj, said that the large-scale civilian casualties in the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas are unacceptable. The International Day of Solidarity with the People of Palestine is observed on November 29. Kamboj will continue to support the people of Palestine in their efforts to build peace and strengthen the historic ties between India and Palestine.
The growing insecurity situation in the Middle East was considered alarming. Especially the loss of life of women and children and atrocities in man-made crises are not acceptable at all. The permanent member of India said that India has always advocated a negotiated settlement of the Israel-Palestine issue. So that Palestine can be established as a sovereign, independent and functional state.
It is natural to criticize the deaths of civilians. We support all efforts by the international community to reduce tensions.. The people of Palestine need humanitarian assistance. According to the Indian envoy, 70 tonnes of humanitarian aid has been sent so far. This includes 16.5 tonnes of medicines and medical supplies.
