Attack on Indian student in Australia leaves him in coma due to serious injuries

Another Indian student has been attacked in Australia and this student is in a coma due to serious injuries. The student is known to be a resident of Assam. Police have detained a suspect in the attack.

According to the report, this student is studying Master's at the University of Tasmania in Australia and the incident took place on November 5 in the state of Tasmania. The student sustained serious injuries as a result of the attack. One of his lungs was damaged and his brain was also damaged in the attack. The student later underwent surgery. The surgery took hours to complete.

The police said that the name of the person who attacked the Indian student is Benjamin Collings and his age is 25 years. After this attack, there was chaos. After receiving information about the incident, the police reached the spot and arrested the accused. However, the court later released him on bail. Now he has to appear in court again on December 4 to answer the charges leveled against him. He faces a maximum jail term of 21 years if convicted of the charges against him.

In this matter, the spokesperson of the University of Tasmania informed that, we are in constant contact with the student's family and the student is being given all kinds of help in this matter.
