Henry Kissinger, the country's former foreign minister who had the greatest influence on America's foreign policy, died on Wednesday at the age of 100.

Kissinger played an important role in America's foreign policy during the time of the then American President Richard Nixon and Gerald Ford. As soon as he passed away, different countries of the world are remembering him in different ways.

Talking about India, Kissinger played an anti-Indian role in the 1971 war between India and Pakistan. Senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh has said that in 1971, American President Nixon and Kissinger created a headache for India, but the then Prime Minister of India Indira Gandhi and her associate officer PN Huxar defeated Nixon and Kissinger.

Nixon and Kissinger were outraged when India started helping Bangladesh, which wanted to secede from Pakistan. He helped Pakistan as much as possible. Despite this, India won the war against Pakistan and helped Bangladesh gain independence.

However, Nixon is also credited with ending the Vietnam War and improving relations with China. He was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1973. However, different countries of the world had different opinions about him. Critics called Kissinger a war criminal.

However, it is certain that he had a great influence on America's foreign policy. Former US President George Bush said that America has lost a strong and trusted voice of the country for foreign policy today.
