Biden Xi Jinping talks likely to be too tough: China's foreign ministry said

- The dispute between the US and China regarding Taiwan has become serious: In addition, there is a dispute over the East and South China Seas

New Delhi: China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has expressed its fear that the talks to be held between US President Joe Biden and Chinese President Xi Jinping during the Asia Pacific Economic Corporation Forum (APECF) summit in San Francisco will be very tough. There appears to be minimal potential for positivity in it.

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Chi also held talks with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken and National Security Advisor Jack Sullivan along with Biden during his three-day visit to Washington. Both sides, meanwhile, have expressed readiness to work together in a bilateral meeting during the APECF summit in San Francisco, but China's foreign ministry has expressed apprehension about the success of the talks between Xi Jinping and President Biden.

Wang's three-day visit to Washington comes at a time when the two countries are at loggerheads over several issues. In which the ban on sending high technology from America to China and China's aggressive stance in the East and South China seas were becoming the main issues.

The most serious differences between China and the US are over Taiwan. China considers Taiwan a province of its own. (On the map, it definitely shows Taiwan as its own island.) China's claim to America is not unacceptable. It fears the opening of its Pacific Ocean. Which is also true. (if Taiwan falls to China).

Thus, observers say that even though both parties are talking politely from outside, there is no possibility of getting any positive conclusion in the Biden-Xi Jinping talks.
