Like India, the Philippines has also adopted an attitude of not bowing down to China's bullying.

After the Philippine Coast Guard removed the barrier installed by China in disputed areas in the South China Sea, the President of the country, Ferdinand Marcos Jr., said, "We do not want any kind of quarrel with China, but we are determined to protect our maritime borders and our fishermen's officers."

This is the first time that the Philippines has made such a public protest against China. At the root of this statement is a provocative move by China. China had built a large barrier in the South China Sea in front of an area called Scarborough Shoal, and it was removed by the Philippine Coast Guard after Marcos ordered.

In a conversation with reporters, the President of the Philippines said that our fishermen have been catching fish for more than a hundred years in the disputed area. 164 tonnes of fish were caught by Philippine boats in one day after the Chinese barrier was removed. No barriers of any kind shall be operated in this marine area. Because this area falls within the waters of the Philippines.

The Philippines also pointed to the barriers China had put up to prevent Philippine fishermen from entering the Scarborough Shoal area.

On the other hand, China said that this area is a part of China. Whatever the Philippines is doing, it is doing it wrong. China will continue to protect all these water areas.
