India's claim to become a permanent member of the UNSC strengthened, one more country gave its support, know what it said


UNSC: Calling for reforms in the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong has backed India and Japan to become permanent members of the UN Security Council.

Penny Wong addressed the 78th session of the UNGA

Addressing the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly, he pushed for more permanent and temporary representation for Africa, Latin America and Asia. Penny Wong called for Security Council reform to contribute to the UNSC under the African Union-led campaign, adding that Australia would like a seat on the Security Council for 2029-30 because of our commitment to peace and security. And this is why we are pushing for reform in the Security Council.

The PM of India raised this issue before the G-20 leaders
