India a rising power, our companies eager to invest in India: Foreign Minister of Taiwan

The rift between China and Taiwan is not hidden from the world. China has also threatened military action against Taiwan hundreds of times considering it as its own part.

Taiwan, however, has been trying for the last few years to come closer to India. Taiwan's Foreign Minister Joushih Wu has now made a statement that China's stomach is sure to get inflamed.

Wu has said that due to the free trade agreement between Taiwan and India, Taiwanese companies will get a huge incentive to invest in India. We are encouraging Taiwanese companies who find the Chinese market unprofitable to invest and produce in India. India has one of the fastest growing economies in the world and India is moving towards economic development.

He said that due to the free trade agreement between India and Taiwan, Taiwanese companies will be helped to open their production units in India without paying more duties or taxes.

Notably, Taiwan produces 70 percent of the world's semiconductors and more than 90 percent of chips. Which is indispensable for any electronic device from airplanes. On the other hand, India has signed an agreement with Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Corporation, a Taiwanese company and the world's largest chip maker. Under which the production facility is to be set up in India.

Taiwan's foreign minister said that the time has come for talks on a free trade agreement between Taipei and New Delhi. Our trade relations are gaining momentum. Taiwanese investors are eager to invest in India. India is an emerging power in the world. The hard work of the people of India cannot be underestimated. India is going to become very powerful.
